Eight Public Benefit Foundations are joining forces to strengthen small Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) across Greece, launching today a new public call for proposals under the 9th grant cycle of the “Simeia Stirixis” (Support Points) Program.
The new cycle will support 27 initiatives, covering a broad range of social and environmental interventions, including:
- social inclusion actions for persons with disabilities,
- initiatives for the protection of the environment and aquatic ecosystems,
- support programs for children and vulnerable social groups,
- interventions aimed at strengthening the cohesion and sustainability of local communities nationwide.
The “Simeia Stirixis” Program, coordinated by the Bodossaki Foundation since 2022, has funded 224 projects to date, benefiting more than 125,000 people throughout Greece.
The program is addressed to small Civil Society Organizations and supports them in:
- implementing innovative small-scale actions with high social impact,
- strengthening their organizational structures,
- developing skills and capacities that enhance their long-term sustainability.
Through its 9th cycle, the program seeks to further empower grassroots initiatives and promote inclusive, sustainable development across the country.
