Restoration and infrastructure improvement works are continuing at a rapid pace on the island of Telendos following the extensive damage caused by recent severe weather conditions.
Municipal crews, supported by heavy machinery and trucks, are operating daily across the island, carrying out clean-up operations, removing debris and repairing infrastructure affected by the extreme weather events.
According to the Municipality of Kalymnos, priority has been given from the outset to ensuring residents’ safety and restoring normal daily life as quickly as possible. The recovery effort remains ongoing, with crews working continuously to address the most urgent needs.
A key role in coordinating the operations has been played by Municipal Councillor Anastasios Trikoilis, who closely monitors the progress of the works and oversees interventions aimed at resolving local issues promptly.
At the same time, paving works along the Telendos waterfront are progressing steadily. The project is expected to enhance both the appearance and functionality of the island while preserving its traditional character and respecting its natural environment.
Municipal authorities have stated that restoration and development works will continue in the coming weeks, aiming to strengthen local infrastructure and improve the quality of life for residents and visitors alike.
