Kalymnos Regional Unit Issues Notice on Renewal of Technical Professional Licenses
The South Aegean Region – Regional Unit of Kalymnos has issued an official notice informing professionals about the renewal process for technical professional licenses and urging them to complete the required procedures on time.
The announcement concerns licenses issued, replaced, or renewed during the years 2013 and 2014 and applies to professionals such as plumbers, electricians, machinery operators, combustion installers, and technicians in mechanical and refrigeration installations.
According to the Regional Unit, recent legislative amendments extended the first validity period of these licenses from eight to twelve years. Therefore:
- Licenses issued in 2013 must be renewed between January 1, 2026, and June 30, 2026.
- Licenses issued in 2014 must be renewed between January 1, 2027, and June 30, 2027.
To renew their licenses, professionals must prove their work activity through employment records, declarations of proper execution of work, or a combination of both. Required documents include an application and declaration form, employment certificates from e-EFKA and ERGANI, and a renewal fee of €100, except for electricians’ licenses issued under Presidential Decree 108/2013.
The notice also highlights penalties for late submissions. The renewal fee doubles or quadruples depending on the delay period, while licenses remaining unrenewed for more than five years are automatically revoked, requiring professionals to retake theoretical and practical examinations.
