Dodecanese MP Manos Konsolas submitted a proposal to the Minister of Development, Takis Theodorikakos, calling for support of women’s entrepreneurship in island regions through the new scheme of the Development Law expected in the first half of 2026.
He suggests that this scheme should fund business plans by women living on the islands, boosting activities in tourism, catering, manufacturing, the primary sector, and reviving traditional professions.
Konsolas emphasizes that supporting women’s entrepreneurship is directly linked to strengthening the economic and social life of island communities and addressing demographic challenges.
