New Electoral Committee Unanimously Approved
The Political Secretariat of SYRIZA–Progressive Alliance unanimously approved the formation of the party’s new Electoral Committee, together with a specific allocation of responsibilities, on Saturday, July 18, 2026.
The Political Secretariat met immediately after the conclusion of the party’s Central Committee proceedings, marking a new stage in SYRIZA–PS’s organisational and political preparations for the next election.
According to the official announcement, the Electoral Committee consists of the following members, listed alphabetically:
- Anastasia Gara – Deputy Secretary of the Central Committee
- Rena Dourou – President of the Parliamentary Group
- Christos Lambridis – Political Planning
- Dimitris Melidis – Press Spokesperson
- Giannis Boulekos – Political Planning
- Giorgos Panagiotopoulos – Press and Communications Spokesperson
- Nikos Pappas – Secretary of the Central Committee
- Pavlos Polakis – Strategic Planning
- Markos Chatzisavvas – Human Resources and Networks
The new committee will coordinate the party’s election preparations, with responsibilities covering political and strategic planning, communications, party representation, human resources and organisational networks.
