The Music School of Dodecanese Arts presented to parents and the public a musical journey through the history of classical music, featuring short introductions to major composers and performances by the piano students of musician Eirini Govatsou. The entire event will be broadcast on Wednesday, 10 December 2025, on Niki Reisi’s show “Epikentro.”
The program opened with the French children’s song “Ah! vous dirai-je, maman,” for which Mozart composed 12 variations. The piece was performed by Panormitis Talia.
This was followed by Franz Behr’s “In May,” performed by Kalliopi Skoumpourdi.
Next, Gabriela Glynatsi played Robert Schumann’s “Melody,” followed by a work by Jean Louis Gobbaerts.
Nikolas Papazoglou presented an excerpt from Joseph Haydn’s “Surprise Symphony,” while Niki Pantazi performed Johann Sebastian Bach’s “Anna Magdalena Minuet.”
The program also included Study No. 18 by Jean-Baptiste Duvernoy, performed again by Niki Pantazi.
Maria Psarompa presented Study No. 21 from Karl Czerny’s “School of Velocity.”
Ioanna Argyriou followed with Study No. 5, Molto Allegro, also by Czerny. The program highlighted Czerny’s role as Beethoven’s student, accompanied by a brief biography of Beethoven. The audience also heard Bagatelle No. 25 “Für Elise.”
The evening concluded with Nomiki Psarompa, performing a brilliant finale of:
– Czerny, School of Velocity Op. 299 No. 20 Molto Vivace
– Cramer, Study No. 4 Allegro con spirito
– Chopin, Nocturne Op. 9 No. 2
The event closed with expressions of gratitude to the parents, the students, and the Municipal Deputy Mayor for Culture for the warm hospitality.
