Chronic Traffic Issues Continue in Kalymnos
A serious traffic disruption occurred today in the downtown area leading to Kalymnia, when a large truck was unable to pass due to a passenger car parked on a curve.
The incident caused a traffic jam and considerable inconvenience for drivers and local residents, with traffic remaining blocked for quite some time. As shown in the photos, the size of the truck combined with the narrow road and improper parking created a difficult situation in the area.
Residents and passersby are raising concerns about whether trucks of this size should be allowed to circulate on the island, as well as about the hours during which such heavy vehicles are permitted to pass through densely populated areas.
According to reports, the Police were called to handle the incident, but no officers arrived at the scene at that time.
The incident once again highlights the chronic traffic problems facing Kalymnos, where narrow roads, limited parking spaces, and increased vehicle movement create daily challenges for both residents and visitors.
