The trial of the high-profile case concerning the management of ANE Kalymnos has been postponed to June 3, 2025, by the Three-Member Court of Appeal for Felonies of the Dodecanese. The Council of Misdemeanor Judges of Kos decided not to press charges against eight individuals, including the mayor of Kalymnos, Dimitris Diakomichalis, for breach of trust exceeding €120,000.
Additionally, another defendant was acquitted of charges of forgery and fraud. However, four individuals were referred to trial, with one of them accused of embezzling €409,335.24 during the period 2010-2011 while serving as a manager of a shipping company.
Two other defendants are alleged to have assisted him, while the fourth, who served as the company’s president, is accused of concealing financial irregularities. The case involves financial mismanagement related to the handling of tickets and revenue of ANE Kalymnos, with significant financial consequences for the company.
