Two Hellenic Coast Guard patrol vessels collected 24 men and five women who said they had departed from Bodrum, Turkey.
The discovery of 29 foreign nationals on Pezonta beach yesterday morning prompted a response by the coast guard authorities on Kalymnos.
According to the Hellenic Coast Guard, the group consisted of 24 men and five women. Two patrol vessels were dispatched to the location and collected them.
The group told authorities they had left Bodrum, Turkey, early that morning, with each person paying US$3,500 for the journey to Greece.
