Clinical psychologist Elena Sotiriou-Kypraiou led an educational session on how the desire to learn develops and what can hold it back.
The desire to learn and the factors that can inhibit it were the focus of an educational session held at Kalymnos Evening Vocational High School (EPAL) on Friday, 30 October 2026.
The session was delivered by Elena Sotiriou-Kypraiou, a clinical psychologist at Kalymnos General Hospital–Health Centre, under the title “How the Desire to Learn Develops and Which Factors Can Inhibit It.”
According to the school’s announcement, students participated actively throughout the session, gaining valuable insights from the discussion.
The school’s headteacher, Zacharias Sdregas, publicly thanked Ms Sotiriou-Kypraiou for delivering the session and for her continued willingness to support the people of Kalymnos. He also thanked Kalymnos Hospital for making her participation possible.
