8th Kos Music and Dance Gathering “Anna Sarri-Karampesini” Began with Enthusiasm
With great joy, dancing, and the participation of more than 160 members from various cultural associations across Greece, the 8th Kos Music and Dance Gathering “Anna Sarri-Karampesini” opened on Saturday evening at the small Evangelistria Theater. The two-day event -Saturday and Sunday- featured a program full of music, dance, and tradition.
This festival, now recognized nationwide as an established cultural institution, showcases the rich heritage of Greece and serves as a significant promotion for the island of Kos.
Cultural associations, accompanied by their local traditional orchestras, perform dances and songs from their regions, offering audiences a vibrant journey through Greece’s musical and dance traditions. The Kalymnos Lyceum Club of Greek Women took part in the event with dances and songs from Kalymnos, captivating the audience with their performance.
