In a social media post, Athanasios Pseftelis, a member of the municipal faction “Kalymnos Power of Perspective,” referred to a “new beginning,” drawing attention within the local community.
Our newspaper contacted him for clarifications. As he stated, he believes that the conditions are now mature for the emergence of new political figures—particularly younger individuals—who could go on to form new municipal factions.
He also emphasized that older politicians and existing factions “have come full circle,” leaving open the possibility of shifts in the island’s political landscape.
