The Holy Relic (Honorable Skull) of Saint Gavrilia of Constantinople, who lived in Leros, was transferred for three days to the Holy Metropolis of Kissamos and Selino following a request by Metropolitan Amphilochios to Metropolitan Paisios of Leros, Kalymnos and Astypalaia. The relic was brought by Bishop Stephanos of Stratonikeia, assistant bishop to Metropolitan Paisios, accompanied by Archpriest Fr. Paisios Angelakis.
The relic was solemnly welcomed at the Metropolitan Church of the Annunciation of the Theotokos in Kissamos, in the presence of many faithful. During the three-day visit, it was taken to several locations within the Metropolis, including the Patriarchal Monastery of Gonia, the Monastery of Zoodochos Pigi in Parthenonas, the Annousakeio Foundation, Paleochora, and Kantanos, where religious services and veneration took place.
Metropolitan Amphilochios expressed his gratitude to Metropolitan Paisios for granting the relic, emphasizing that the large number of believers who attended the events demonstrated the strong faith of the people.
