Kalymnos Deputy Governor Manolis Mousellis responds to the insinuations made by Mayor of Kalymnos Ioannis Mastrokoukos regarding road resurfacing, during the latest Municipal Council meeting.
He clarified that the South Aegean Region, although not institutionally responsible for the municipal road network, has actively and responsibly contributed to key projects in Kalymnos — such as the port construction, waste management, and road line repainting.
These interventions were carried out in coordination with the Municipality’s technical services and with the support of the Municipal Police. Anyone choosing to question or undermine this collaboration does so on their own accord. The Region stands by its actions — not insinuations — always acting in the best interest of the citizens of Kalymnos.
