A video was posted on the personal Facebook page of former Mayor D. Diakomichalis, in which he responds to Mayor of Kalymnos I. Mastrokoukos regarding his statements about the Municipal Nursery School during the press conference held after the blessing ceremony.
Mr. Diakomichalis accuses Mr. Mastrokoukos of poor planning, stating that although the Municipality had requested to hire 4 employees as early as March 2025, three of them were to fill administrative-financial positions, and only one was to work at the nursery school. According to the former mayor, the financial department is already adequately staffed, and the municipality could have requested all four employees to be assigned to the nursery school. That way, more groups could have operated in time to meet all parents’ requests from the beginning of the new term.
The former mayor also criticized the harshness of the current mayor’s statements toward him and noted that the current municipal administration has delegated numerous projects to the South Aegean Region because the Municipality is unable to implement them on its own.
