HERON (Hellenic Center of Excellence in Robotics), through its Director, Emeritus Professor of NTUA Mr. Petros Maragos, responded to the invitation of the Mayor of Kalymnos, Mr. Ioannis Mastrokoukos, to co-organize an educational activity for students of the 3rd grade of Junior High School and 1st–2nd grades of Senior High School on the island’s school units, on October 30 and 31, 2025.
The Center’s purpose is to conduct basic and applied research for the development of advanced robots that serve society’s needs. It develops innovative systems for space and field robotics, focusing on applications in health, education, rescue, and safety.
