At the Kalymnos Chamber of Commerce on April 25, 2025, with the participation of local authorities, organizations, and professionals of Kalymnos, an Entrepreneurial Discovery Process (EDP) was organized as part of the project titled:
“Mechanism for Governance, Monitoring, and Support of the Implementation of the Regional Smart Specialization Strategy in the South Aegean Region,”
Project Code: OPS 6017345, under the “South Aegean” 2021–2027 Program,
focused on promoting innovation and strengthening entrepreneurship in the Fishing and Aquaculture sector.
Objectives of the consultation:
- To gather opinions, proposals, and ideas from stakeholders of the quadruple helix (businesses, research/academic institutions, public authorities, and civil society).
- To highlight dynamic priority areas within each sector.
- To design actions that will support regional innovation and entrepreneurial development.
The keynote speakers were academics from the International Hellenic University based in Thessaloniki and consultants of the Chamber of Dodecanese,
Efi Kesopoulou and Stella Xanthopoulou, specializing in Innovation Management.
Chamber of Dodecanese staff Maria Tsampikaki and Giannis Konstantinou provided technical and administrative support.
