On 25-4-2025 at 20.00, at the local deli Wooden Roots at Armeos Kalymnos, the Rebolt Kalymnos launch party allowed climbers to fund repairs on specific routes. Our news site, Kalymnos Times, bought the 8th bolt on the Melodrama route. All donors’ names can be seen next to their contributions on the routes.
We spoke with Maria Glynatsi, a local member of Rebolt Kalymnos, an organization that started last October to keep the climbing routes safe. Experienced rebolters will be making the repairs. The organization is aware that the Municipality of Kalymnos is planning to rebolt certain routes in the next month, and they are open to collaborating with the municipality on this issue.
