Call approved for physician position at the Multi-Regional Medical Center of Lipsi – Financial and housing incentives provided
The Greek Ministry of Health has approved the call for applications for one (1) fixed-term physician position at the Multi-Regional Medical Center of Lipsi, in the specialty of General / Family Medicine or Internal Medicine, at the rank of Director within the National Health System (NHS).
The application period opens on January 23, 2026, at 12:00 noon, and closes on February 6, 2026, at 12:00 noon, through the electronic platform esyddoctrs.moh.gov.gr.
While the approval of the call constitutes a necessary administrative step, it does not by itself guarantee that the position will be filled. For this reason, the Municipality of Lipsi is actively supporting the effort to attract physicians by offering additional incentives.
Specifically, the Municipality provides:
- a monthly food allowance of €400,
- housing, to be made available in the near future through the purchase of a property financed by the Ministry of Interior.
In addition, it is noted that the South Aegean Region provides an extra monthly allowance of €400 for doctors serving in island and remote areas.
According to the municipal authorities, the goal is to create realistic and sustainable conditions for doctors to settle and remain on Lipsi, respecting both their professional role and the healthcare needs of the local community.
