Giannis Pappas Celebrates the Roots of the Dodecanese at Kalavarda and Agios Soulas
New Democracy MP for the Dodecanese Giannis Pappas attended religious celebrations honouring Saint Anna in Kalavarda and cultural events held at Agios Soulas on Rhodes.
Mr Pappas first took part in the feast-day celebrations at the Church of Saint Anna in Kalavarda, where he honoured the saint’s memory and exchanged greetings with residents and visitors.
He later attended the events at Agios Soulas, where the Soroni Cultural and Folklore Association “To Ambernalli” and the Fanes Cultural Association “O Prodromos” presented traditional dances, highlighting the richness of Rhodian tradition and the region’s cultural heritage.
Following the performances, the Dodecanese MP congratulated the dancers, instructors, volunteers and organisers for their efforts. He stressed that preserving and promoting local traditions is a valuable legacy for future generations and an integral part of the identity of the Dodecanese.
“Our faith and traditions are the roots that unite us and give us the strength to move forward,” Giannis Pappas said.
