Vaggelitsa Skylla delivered an outstanding performance at the K18 Interclub Championship, winning the gold medal and claiming 1st place in the 400 meters, bringing another major success to Kalymnos athletics.
Coached by Nikolas Korfias, the talented athlete was crowned 2026 Dodecanese K18 Champion and currently holds the best performance in the Aegean region for 2026 in the 400m event.
With excellent race tactics, determination, and remarkable fighting spirit, Vaggelitsa achieved an impressive time of 61.55 seconds, setting a huge new personal best and improving significantly on her previous mark of 64.8 seconds.
This exceptional performance may also have surpassed the K18 record of her mother, former Greek national champion Angeliki Kalikatzarou, adding even greater significance to her achievement.
At the same time, Vaggelitsa secured qualification for the Greek National K18 Championship, confirming her great potential and promising future in athletics.
