Two Hellenic Air Force transport aircraft, a C-130 and a C-27, carried out a humanitarian airdrop mission over Gaza today, delivering a total of eight tons of food supplies to help alleviate the ongoing humanitarian crisis.
The mission, conducted in close coordination with Jordanian and Israeli authorities, included personnel from the Air Supply Battalion (TENEF) as well as Special Operations units tasked with mission security.
The Greek aircraft took off from the 112 Combat Wing in Elefsina, making a stop in Jordan before entering Israeli airspace and approaching Gaza. The operation was successfully completed, and the planes returned safely to base.
With this action, Greece joins the small group of nations providing humanitarian aid to Gaza via special air missions, alongside Italy, Germany, France, Canada, and Jordan.
