Classes for children, teenagers and adults across Kalymnos, along with an innovative music-and-dance programme for kindergarten and first-grade pupils
Drawing on 50 years of experience and cultural contribution, the Lyceum Club of Greek Women of Kalymnos is once again welcoming returning and new students for another year of Greek traditional dance lessons.
During the new academic year, the Club will offer children’s classes for pupils from the second grade of primary school onwards, as well as classes for teenagers and adults.
Registration begins on Monday, 21 September 2026, and will take place at the following locations:
- Pothia: At the Municipality’s Youth Centre, located in the KAPI building next to the small theatre, from Monday, 21 September, through Wednesday, 30 September, between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.
- Chora: At the 1st Primary School in Prodromos on Wednesday, 23 September, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., and at the 2nd Primary School in Panagia on Thursday, 24 September, during the same hours.
- Argos: At the Primary School on Saturday, 26 September, and Sunday, 27 September, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
- Panormos: At the Primary School on Saturday, 26 September, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
- Vathy: On Sunday, 4 October, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., in conjunction with the first lesson.
Classes are scheduled to begin during the first week of October.
Special programme for kindergarten and first-grade pupils
The Club will also continue its innovative music-and-dance education programme for kindergarten and first-grade primary school children, introducing them to traditional Greek dance through an age-appropriate teaching approach.
The programme is based on the methodology developed by Fotini Venetsanou, a professor at the School of Physical Education and Sports Science in Athens.
Registration for this programme will take place exclusively in Pothia, at the Municipality’s Youth Centre, from Monday, 21 September, through Wednesday, 30 September, between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.
