Together for Children will focus on emotional resilience and navigating adolescence at two free talks on October 16 and 17.
How can parents strengthen their children’s confidence? And how can families keep communication open through the teenage years? These questions will take centre stage at two events organised by Together for Children at the Kalymnos Cultural Centre, announced by the island’s Centre for Interdisciplinary Assessment, Counselling and Support (KEDASY).
The first talk, “Emotional Resilience,” will take place on Friday, October 16, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. It is intended for parents and guardians of primary school pupils, offering practical tools and knowledge to help build children’s resilience, self-confidence and emotional balance.
The second event, “Adolescence: Challenges and Communication in the Family,” is scheduled for Saturday, October 17, at 5:00 p.m. Aimed at parents and guardians of lower secondary school students, it will explore the developmental changes of adolescence, understanding teenage behaviour and ways to encourage meaningful dialogue and a supportive family environment.
Kalymnos KEDASY invites parents and teachers across the island to attend, share their concerns and discuss their questions with Together for Children’s scientific staff.
Admission to both events is free.
