Wednesday 29 & Thursday 30 October 2025 | 1st Nikiforeio Junior High School of Kalymnos | Time: 10:30–12:00
The HERON (Hellenic Robotics Center of Excellence) is launching a two-day educational initiative in Kalymnos focused on Robotics and Artificial Intelligence, taking place on October 29–30, 2025 at the 1st Nikiforeio Junior High School, from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM.
The initiative is organized by Professor Petros Maragos, Director of HERON and Emeritus Professor at NTUA, following an invitation from the Mayor of Kalymnos, Mr. Ioannis Mastrokoukos, with support from the Dodecanese Secondary Education Directorate and local school principals.
Students from 9th to 11th grade will explore the possibilities of robotics and AI, engage in interactive sessions with researchers, and discover how science and innovation can shape a better future.
HERON, supported by over 70 organizations and research institutions nationwide, is a national initiative dedicated to promoting science, technology, and innovation in Greece, especially through education and outreach. The program aims to spark creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration among youth — and to bring human-centered technology closer to society.
