The Parents and Guardians Association of Persons with Disabilities of Kalymnos “Agios Panteleimon” has issued an invitation for expression of interest to join the Supported Living Facility (SYD) for adults with intellectual disabilities in Kalymnos, under the action “Philippos Olympitis”, funded by the South Aegean 2021-2027 Program and the European Social Fund.
The facility hosts 9 individuals and offers support services to adults (18+) with mild to moderate intellectual disabilities, who are self-sufficient. Individuals with active psychiatric disorders, severe mobility issues requiring a wheelchair, or uncontrolled epilepsy are not eligible.
Services offered include:
- Safe and hygienic accommodation
- Medical and nursing care
- Daily care and hygiene
- Psychological and social support
- Participation in training, recreational and social activities
- Support toward independent living and social inclusion
Application Process and Eligibility:
- Applications must be submitted by the individuals themselves or their legal guardians by January 30, 2026, along with all required documents (ID, certificates, medical reports, guardianship papers, etc.).
- A Multidisciplinary Team evaluates candidates based on proximity, ability to adapt, and social participation.
- Selected individuals sign a Residential Agreement and enter a 6-month integration phase.
- Residency may be terminated by the Association if agreement terms are not met.
