The girls’ basketball team of the Kalymnos Academy is currently in Athens for their final preparation ahead of the Final Four tournament in Ialysos, scheduled for June 28–29. Under the guidance of coach Zacharias Kardoulias, the team will play two challenging friendly matches: on Thursday, June 19, they will face Kronos Geraka at 17:30, and on Friday, June 20, they will play Panionios in Nea Smyrni at 16:30.
On Saturday, the young athletes will also have the opportunity to attend the women’s national team game against Turkey at the Peace and Friendship Stadium (SEF), as part of the EuroBasket tournament — a great experience to further enrich their basketball development.
The team delegation includes head coach Zacharias Kardoulias, chaperone Kalliopi Martha, and team coordinator Vasilis Koutsilas, along with 14 players: Katina Reisi, Sofia Chalikou, Angeliki Poniri, Themelina Kampourmali, Maria Trikili, Maria Iliadi, Vasso Karamali, Maria Ellina, Fotini Bairami, Georgia Vrettou, Maria Chlorou, Maria Savvidi, Christina Koullia, and Savvina Papathoma.
