Major Donation Boosts Kalymnos Hospital with Two Advanced Patient Monitors
Kalymnos General Hospital – Health Centre “The Vouváleio” has received two advanced medical devices donated by Andreas Martinos and MINERVA MARINE Inc., strengthening patient monitoring and safety on the island.
The donation consists of an iV15 anaesthesia monitor and an iV100 patient transport monitor, both manufactured by EDAN Instruments Inc.
The new equipment represents an important addition to the hospital’s medical infrastructure and is expected to support safer and more effective patient care, both during anaesthesia and while patients are being transported.
In a letter of appreciation dated August 7, 2026, the hospital’s administration and staff expressed their sincere gratitude to Andreas Martinos and MINERVA MARINE Inc. They noted that the donation will enhance the quality of healthcare services and contribute to safer, more efficient patient treatment.
The hospital stressed that such support carries particular importance in a remote island community, where healthcare needs are significant and access to specialised medical services presents additional challenges.
The letter was signed by Kalymnos Hospital Director Typadis-Panteleimon Kongas, who stated that the donated equipment would be put to the best possible use for the benefit of patients.
