The Kalymnos Basketball Academy, in collaboration with the Municipality of Kalymnos, successfully organized a Friendship Basketball Tournament promoting cross-cultural unity and sportsmanship. The event welcomed the participation of A.E. Dikaiou, Phoivos Kos, and the Turkish team Datca, highlighting the shared values of teamwork and respect beyond borders.
Held on the island of Kalymnos, the tournament featured youth matches, including a spirited game between Phoivos Kos and Datca (boys division), followed by an award ceremony celebrating all teams’ efforts and commitment that was streamed live.
This initiative fostered athletic development and strengthened ties between the Greek and Turkish communities. The next round of the Friendship Tournament is set to take place this fall in Datca, continuing the legacy of cooperation through sport.
