A blessing service in the presence of Saint Gavrilia’s holy relic, a review of summer events and new programmes for young children and parents.
The Kalymnos Lyceum of Greek Women outlined its upcoming activities for children and parents during a blessing service held at its premises on Sunday, October 11, 2026, in the presence of the holy relic of Saint Gavrilia. The gathering took place as the organisation celebrates 50 years since its founding.
The service was conducted by priests Isidoros Glynatsis and Ilias Mouzourakis, with members of the organisation’s Board of Directors and the Honorary President Kalliopi Mavrou in attendance.
The president Kalliopi Kassara reviewed the summer events, placing particular emphasis on the organisation’s 50th anniversary and the activities held as part of the celebrations.
She also announced that registration for the music and movement programme, led by Eirini Kalidoni, will take place on Saturday, October 24, at 11:00 a.m., at the 3rd Primary School of Kalymnos. The programme is intended for kindergarten and first-grade children.
The Parents’ School will begin on Friday, November 6, the first Friday of November, at the Lyceum’s premises, with psychologist Eleni Kypraiou.
Through these new activities, the Kalymnos Lyceum of Greek Women continues to combine its cultural work with programmes for the island’s children and families.
