Kalymnos will host an Information Day dedicated to Fishing Tourism on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at the Chamber of Commerce Hall. The event is organised by the Development Agency of the Dodecanese (ANDO), the Dodecanese Chamber of Commerce, the South Aegean Region, and the Fishermen’s Association “Panagia Ypapanti”. The event is open to the public.
The programme will begin at 09:00 with registration and greetings from the organisers and the Mayor of Kalymnos. Presentations will follow on the current status of fishing tourism in the Dodecanese, funding opportunities, development prospects and successful case studies.
Speakers include representatives of the South Aegean Region, ANDO, the Managing Authority for Fisheries, tourism professionals, hotel industry representatives, and practitioners with experience in fishing tourism. The event will conclude with an open discussion involving local fishermen, institutions and authorities.
