The Lyceum Club of Greek Women of Kalymnos, with the responsibility and experience of its 50 years, is once again beginning this year the teaching of traditional dances to its returning and new students.
There will be classes for children (starting from 2nd grade of primary school), teenagers, and adults.
Registrations begin on Saturday, September 20, 2025, and will take place in the following locations and times:
- POTHIA: At the K.A.P.H. hall, from Monday 22/9 to Saturday 27/9, from 6:00–8:00 p.m.
- CHORA:
- At the 1st Primary School (Prodromos), on Wednesday 24/9, from 4:00–5:30 p.m.
- At the 2nd Primary School (Panagia), on Thursday 25/9, from 4:00–5:30 p.m.
- At the 1st Primary School (Prodromos), on Wednesday 24/9, from 4:00–5:30 p.m.
- ARGOS: At the Primary School, on Saturday 20/9, Sunday 21/9, and Saturday 27/9, from 11:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.
- PANORMOS: At the Primary School, on Saturday 27/9, from 10:00–11:30 a.m.
- VATHY: At the Primary School, on Sunday 22/9, from 11:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
Lessons will begin in the first week of October.
We also inform you that this year, an innovative music and movement education program for teaching traditional dance to kindergarten and 1st-grade children will begin. This is based on the methodology of Ms. Fotini Venetsanou, professor at the School of Physical Education and Sport Science (T.E.F.A.A.) of Athens.
Registrations for this program will only take place in Pothia, from Monday 22/9 to Friday 26/9, at the K.A.P.H. hall, from 6:00–8:00 p.m.
