Dodecanese MP Manos Konsolas addressed in Parliament the issue of the sudden closure of Hellenic Post (ELTA) branches, especially in rural and island areas. He emphasized that residents must be served where they live, particularly the elderly who are not familiar with digital tools and rely on local branches for daily transactions.
He called for the modernization and restructuring of ELTA on healthy foundations, but without sacrificing citizens’ access to services. He urged the adoption of best international practices to ensure that any reform results in upgraded, not downgraded, services for the public.
