Katerina Emmanouil, South Aegean coordinator for New Democracy’s Secretariat for Children’s Rights, has expressed her sorrow over the death of Evangelos Giompliakis during the severe weather that struck Rhodes.
In her condolence message, she referred to the destruction and anxiety left by the storm, stressing that the loss of a human life stands above all else.
“I extend my sincere condolences to his family and loved ones,” she said, also expressing solidarity with everyone enduring hardship on the island.
Emmanouil called for the swift restoration of damage, expressing the hope that Rhodes would recover with safety and strength.
