Dendias from Kastellorizo and Ro: If Turkey accepts the Law of the Sea, 95% of its dispute with Greece would be resolved
During his visit to Kastellorizo and Ro for the celebration of the island’s patron saints, Minister of National Defense Nikos Dendias emphasized that if Turkey were to accept the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS), 95% of its differences with Greece would be resolved. He highlighted the geopolitical importance of the Megisti complex and described any view that considers the Dodecanese as isolated as being outside the reality of international law. The Minister also attended the inauguration of the new Military Surveillance Outpost on Ro, honoring the legacy of the “Lady of Ro” and reaffirming the Armed Forces’ commitment to defending Greece’s sovereignty and sovereign rights.
