Manos Konsolas calls for the staffing of the vacant nursing position at the Polydynamo Regional Medical Center of Kasos
In a parliamentary intervention addressed to the Minister of Health, the Dodecanese MP, Manos Konsolas, highlights the challenges faced by the Polydynamo Regional Medical Center of Kasos following the departure of the nurse who was recently appointed to the Karpathos Hospital.
Mr. Konsolas notes that the Kasos Medical Center is currently staffed by one rural doctor and one midwife, and that the presence of nursing personnel is essential both for the provision of specific services and for the smooth and efficient operation of the facility.
Given that the recruitment of 4,000 new nurses into the National Health System is being planned, Manos Konsolas requests that the hiring of nursing staff for the Polydynamo Regional Medical Center of Kasos be included as a priority in the first recruitment announcement to be issued.
