A Magical Night of Opera Under the Kalymnos Sky
An exceptional evening of music, passion and operatic elegance is coming to the Open-Air Theatre of Chora in Kalymnos on Sunday, August 9, 2026.
Entitled “Summer Seduction – Mozart Meets Casanova: A Fantastic Story in Songs and Arias,” the open-air performance will begin at 8:30 p.m., inviting audiences on a captivating musical journey inspired by an imaginary encounter between two legendary European figures: Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Giacomo Casanova.
The performance will feature soprano Tehmine Schaeffer and tenor Luca Lombardo, accompanied on piano by Vasilis Konstantinou. Amadeus K. will serve as the evening’s moderator and presenter.
Staged at one of Kalymnos’ most atmospheric outdoor venues, the concert will combine the beauty of classical music with the distinctive charm of a summer evening on the island.
The event poster features the Austrian Federal Ministry of Housing, Arts, Culture, Media and Sport, the Austrian Consulate in Rhodes, the Municipality of Kalymnos and the Austrian Embassy in Athens.
