The regular mixed public session of the Municipal Council was held in the conference room on the floor of the Cultural Center in person and simultaneously via teleconference on July 17, 2024, Wednesday, starting at 19:00, to decide on the following agenda items:
- Approval of the 3rd revision of the Municipality of Kalymnos budget for the financial year 2024 – Approved. Sakis Houllis voted present, and Giorgos Mavros and Popi Mavrou voted in favor of most issues except the parking space marking for the disabled.
- Approval of the balance sheet and financial statements for the financial year 2023 of the Municipal Port Fund of Kalymnos – Withdrawn.
- Determination of lawyer’s fee for handling a matter of special importance to the interests of the Municipality of Kalymnos, requiring specialized knowledge (mooring of the cargo ship “BLUE SHARK, IMO: 9003770, flag of Togo) – 7,420 Euros, Mr. Avramidis lawyer, unanimously approved.
- Approval of the drafting of a protocol for administrative eviction in the Chora Kalymnos area – Unanimously approved.
- Examination of the possibility of covering accommodation expenses for appointed doctors on the island of Kalymnos, according to the provisions of Article 21 par. 2c of Law 3580/2007 as replaced by par. 1 of Article 34 of Law 4325/2015 and par. 5 of Article 43 of Law 4368/2016 – Rent subsidy up to 600 euros, unanimously approved.
- Approval of the twinning protocol between the Municipality of Kalymnos and the Municipality of Port de Bouc – Unanimously approved.
- Establishment of the Committee of Article 30 Law 5056/2023 for the exercise of the responsibilities of the abolished Unified School Committee of Primary Education – President: Sevasti Stala, Members: Eirini Kambouri, Alternate: Eirini Kardoulia, Ioannis Theofilidis, unanimously approved.
- Establishment of the Committee of Article 30 Law 5056/2023 for the exercise of the responsibilities of the abolished Unified School Committee of Secondary Education – President: Stefanos Korfi, Members: Prodromos Chatzaras, Alternate: Georgia Skylla Micha, Chrysoavalanti Kanavour, unanimously approved.
- Establishment of the committee of Article 30 Law 5056/2023 for the exercise of the responsibilities of the abolished Municipal Education Committee of Article 50 of Law 1566/1985 – Members: Kalliopi Koutsourai, Angeliki Maragkou, Eirini Kambouri, Alternate: Prodromos Chatzaras, President: Chrysoavalanti Kanavour, unanimously approved.
- Appointment of members to the Advisory Committee for matters of raising, removal, or neutralization of wrecks or ships under the jurisdiction of the Kalymnos Port Authority – This issue was not discussed, as it had already been discussed in another session.
- Inclusion of the Municipality of Kalymnos in the DIAS PORTAL – Unanimously approved.
At the end of the session, Mr. Rakintzis, as a citizen, asked to speak to complain because his life was endangered on the road to Agios Savvas due to the lack of signage.
