Music Odyssey’s two-day musical journey on Kalymnos concluded on Saturday evening, September 19, 2026, with a dynamic concert featuring popular Greek and international pop and rock hits.
Entitled “Rocking with Music Odyssey,” the concert took place in the courtyard of Panormos Primary School, offering a lively evening of live performances, powerful rhythms and songs from the Greek and international pop–rock repertoire.
The musicians and vocalists of Music Odyssey, under the direction of conductor and University of Athens professor Giannis Malafis, presented a diverse programme that highlighted the energy of live music and the creative collaboration of all the ensemble’s performers.
The Panormos performance marked the second night of Music Odyssey’s events on Kalymnos. It followed the September 18 concert at the “Katerina Klonari” Open-Air Theatre in Chora, which paid tribute to the legendary Greek music venues of the 1960s and acclaimed songwriter Dionysis Savvopoulos.
The event was organised by the Kantouni–Linaria Environmental and Cultural Association as part of the Municipality of Kalymnos’ cultural programme. The contribution of the Association’s members, as well as that of the musicians, singers and technical team, was instrumental in the successful presentation of the two concerts.
Valuable support was also provided by sponsors Argo, Blue Star Ferries and Norma’s Village, whose contribution helped make the events possible and enabled them to be offered to the public with free admission.
With the Panormos concert, Music Odyssey brought its musical journey on Kalymnos to a close, connecting different eras and musical genres through two distinctive evenings of live music.
