Rhodes, May 31, 2025 – A remarkable performance was recorded by Lionel Legkisi (born 2012), an athlete of AGES Kameiros Rhodes, who jumped 1.45 meters during the U14 Jumping Triathlon (1st Dodecanese Group), setting a new regional record for Rhodes in the boys’ U14 high jump!
He surpassed the previous record of 1.40m held by Angelos Broskas (Niki of Rhodes) since April 22, 2023.
This achievement also places Lionel 7th in the all-time Aegean U14 rankings. The Aegean record stands at 1.70m, set by Lefteris Tsagaris (Kalymnos 2000, coach: Xenofon Koutellas) in 2005, in the U16 category.
The young athlete from Rhodes is showing great promise, with expectations high for even greater heights in the future.
