Kalymnos Medical Association calls for Patmos to be included in financial incentive program for doctors
The Medical Association of the Province of Kalymnos (ISEK) has called on the Members of Parliament of the Dodecanese to support the inclusion of doctors working at the Patmos Health Center in a financial incentive program funded by the Stelios Philanthropic Foundation.
In a document dated March 11, 2026, the association noted that it had recently sent a letter to the Minister of Health requesting the inclusion of Patmos in the program, which provides financial incentives to doctors working in public health structures on islands with populations of fewer than 4,000 residents.
According to the association, three additional islands have recently been added to the program, increasing the total number of beneficiaries from 47 to 50. However, Patmos has not been included on the list, despite meeting the required criteria.
The Medical Association is asking for the support of the Dodecanese MPs to ensure that doctors serving at the Patmos Health Center can benefit from the financial incentives provided by the foundation.
The document has also been communicated to Patmos Mayor Mr. Tsampalakis, members of the Medical Association of Kalymnos Province, and the media.
