The urgent need to implement incentives to attract and retain doctors at the Patmos Health Center is highlighted in an official letter by the Provincial Medical Association of Kalymnos.
In its letter dated January 20, 2026, the Association refers to the Ministry of Health’s legislation providing incentives for remote and island areas, as well as to the unanimous decision of the Patmos Municipal Council to grant housing and meal allowances to doctors.
The Medical Association urges the local authorities to proceed without bureaucratic delays, stressing that it will support all efforts aimed at strengthening healthcare services on the island.
