The Kalymnos Municipal Port Authority has launched a Public Online Consultation for the new Port Allocation Regulation, aiming to establish a modern and efficient management framework for the port. Based on a unanimous board decision, the consultation seeks to:
- Define fair and objective criteria for berth allocation by vessel category.
- Prevent disorderly spatial planning.
- Ensure transparency and equal treatment for all port users.
- Improve safety and operational efficiency within the port area.
The process is conducted via the municipality’s new online participation platform, and remains open until November 15. This initiative aims to redefine port operations, enhance organization and safety, and support sustainable coastal development on the island.
Currently, no ideas have been made public by citizens or local stakeholders.
