Kalymnos producers made a strong impression at the international Foodexpo 2026 exhibition, held in Spata from March 14 to 16. Their stand, hosted at the South Aegean Region pavilion alongside producers from the Dodecanese and the Cyclades, attracted significant visitor traffic and sparked the interest of both industry professionals and the general public.
The participation of the island’s producers was made possible with the valuable support of the Deputy Regional Governor of the South Aegean, Filimon Zannetidis, contributing to the promotion of local products to a wide and demanding audience.
Noteworthy was also the tireless effort of the Deputy Mayors of Kalymnos, Vasilis Mousellis and Popi Koutouzi, who promoted the island’s products with enthusiasm and pride throughout the exhibition.
Among the visitors impressed by the quality and uniqueness of the products were journalist Eleni Psychouli, known for her interest in gastronomy, Dodecanese MP Giannis Pappas, renowned chef Argyro Barbarigou, vinter Mrs. Tripodaki-Tsougrani with her grandchildren, Giorgos Anasis from Anasis Bakery & Coffee, and Sevasti Koulianou from Wooden Roots.
Kalymnos’ participation in Foodexpo 2026 highlights the strength of its local producers and the growing recognition of its products in both the Greek and international markets.
