Crew members of the passenger-vehicle ferry “KALYMNOS,” operated by the Kalymnos Maritime Company, proceeded with a work stoppage on May 12, 2026, in an effort to pressure the company’s management to pay their outstanding wages.
The workers claim that the company is violating Article 10 of the Coastal Shipping Collective Labor Agreement, which states that “the payment of wages and all kinds of earnings to seafarers must be completed at the end of each calendar month.”
The crew is demanding the immediate payment of all outstanding salaries, stressing that the delays are creating serious financial difficulties for employees and their families.
