Metropolitan Paisios Presides over the Feast of the Nativity of St. John the Baptist in Kalymnos
KALYMNOS, June 24, 2026 – The Feast of the Nativity of Saint John the Baptist was solemnly celebrated on Wednesday, June 24, at the Church of Panagia Vothynon in Kalymnos.
The Divine Liturgy was presided over by His Eminence Metropolitan Paisios of Leros, Kalymnos and Astypalaia, who led the faithful in prayer and reflected on the spiritual significance of Saint John the Forerunner, the prophet who prepared the way for the coming of Jesus Christ.
Worshippers attended the celebration, participating in the festive Divine Liturgy and honoring one of the most revered saints of the Orthodox Church.
