Manos Konsolas: Two new staff positions announced to strengthen EKAB services in Karpathos
Dodecanese MP Manos Konsolas announced the allocation of two new staff positions to strengthen the EKAB (National Emergency Care Service) sector in Karpathos, noting that his parliamentary intervention to the Ministry of Health has yielded results.
According to a written response from the Minister of Health, within the framework of an upcoming recruitment process for 506 ambulance crew personnel (secondary education level) through ASEP, two positions are designated for the Karpathos EKAB sector.
Mr. Konsolas had raised the issue since December, calling for the reinforcement of EKAB services on the island with permanent staff to ensure adequate shift coverage and meet increased demand. In his intervention, he also referred to the Cabinet’s approval of 5,208 hires in the public health sector for 2026.
It is noted that Mr. Konsolas has consistently focused his parliamentary activity on strengthening EKAB services across the Dodecanese islands.
