“A Supreme Honour for Our Border Islands”: Gerasimos Apostolatos Appointed Vice-President of the APSI
Gerasimos Apostolatos has been appointed Vice-President of the Supreme Disciplinary Council for Physicians (APSI) of the Panhellenic Medical Association, following his selection by Greek Health Minister Adonis Georgiadis.
In a statement, Mr Apostolatos said that the prestigious appointment represents recognition of his work with the Medical Association of the Province of Kalymnos, as well as a supreme honour for Greece’s remote border islands.
He also reaffirmed his deep commitment to the islands and expressed his determination to contribute, through the Panhellenic Medical Association, to addressing the healthcare challenges faced by island communities.
“My love for the islands is unwavering, and through the Panhellenic Medical Association, which serves as a second-level institutional body, I will help towards resolving the healthcare problems affecting our islands,” he stated.
The appointment of Gerasimos Apostolatos is particularly significant for the representation of Greece’s remote island regions within one of the medical profession’s highest institutional bodies.
