The snake in the photo is a young Four-lined Snake (Elaphe quatuorlineata). It was found dead in the area of Platy Gialos. Local residents contacted the wildlife protection organization ANIMA at +30 697 266 4675, and were informed after sending the photo for identification.
These snakes are non-venomous and should not be killed.
At this young age, they can resemble vipers, which are venomous; therefore, the proper authorities should be consulted before taking any rash initiatives.
