ANAKEM Aspires to Be the Institutional Pillar Supporting and Advancing Recycling in Greece
In a particularly warm and festive atmosphere, ANAKEM S.A. held its annual New Year’s cake-cutting event at a central hotel in Thessaloniki.
ANAKEM, the largest Collective Alternative Management System for Excavation, Construction and Demolition Waste (CDW) in Greece, welcomed numerous representatives from the State, Local Government, the scientific community and the business sector. The strong and meaningful attendance constituted tangible recognition of the company’s long-standing contribution and its consistent commitment to the proper and sustainable management of CDW.
During the management’s address, ANAKEM’s strategic role in strengthening the circular economy and shaping a modern, reliable and transparent operational framework for construction waste recycling was highlighted.
As characteristically emphasized:
“ANAKEM does not merely seek to be part of the system; it aspires to be the institutional pillar that supports and advances recycling in our country.”
Particular emphasis was placed on the continuous effort to enhance and reinforce the leading position of the Collective System:
“We must work daily with consistency, transparency and effectiveness, proving that we deserve the trust of our partners and the State.”
ANAKEM’s environmental and social footprint was also central to the address:
“We work for a better environment. Our goal is to improve citizens’ quality of life and promote a cleaner Greece. Our vision is to contribute meaningfully to the country’s transition toward a more sustainable future.”
The New Year’s cake was blessed by His Eminence Metropolitan Barnabas of Neapoli and Stavroupoli, representing the Ecumenical Patriarchate.
The event was honored by the presence of government officials and Members of Parliament, representatives of the Church, Presidents of the Central Union of Municipalities (KEDE) and the Regional Union of Municipalities (PED), Mayors, Deputy Regional Governors, the President of the Solid Waste Management Authority of Central Macedonia, representatives of the scientific community, as well as executives, institutional stakeholders, partners and friends of the company.
